Dear fellow healthcare provider,
Synthese is an organization providing intercultural mental health care based in The Hague.
As a specialist medical treatment center, we offer outpatient psychiatric care for anyone aged 18 and over.
Both intake interviews and treatments can be conducted in various languages, including Dutch, Turkish, (Classical) Arabic, Hindustani, Hindi, Urdu, Farsi, French, and English.
Region
We accept patients residing in the Haaglanden region (The Hague, Delft, Zoetermeer, Rijswijk, Leidschendam-Voorburg, Wassenaar, Pijnacker-Nootdorp, Westland, Midden-Delfland) and Leiden.
Patients can be referred to us via ZorgDomein. This is possible for both General Mental Health Care and Specialist Mental Health Care for treatments related to various DSM-5 classified disorders. If you would like to refer a patient but do not use Zorgdomein, please click below:
Patients with (suspected) cases of the following conditions can be treated at Synthese :
- Psychotic disorders other than schizophrenia spectrum disorders
- Depressive mood disorders
- Bipolar mood disorders
- Anxiety disorders
- Trauma and stressor-related disorders
- Neurobiological developmental disorders: ADHD and ADD
- Obsessive-compulsive and related disorders
- Somatic symptom disorder and related disorders
- Mild personality issues
Patients with (suspected) cases of the following conditions cannot be treated at Synthese :
- Suicidal behavior with a high risk of suicide
- Schizophrenia
- Addiction issues (including alcohol addiction, drug addiction, gambling addiction, and sex addiction)
- Severe personality disorder (with or without suicidal behavior)
- Intellectual disability
- Eating disorders
- Adjustment disorders
- Relationship problems
- CPP (persistent physical symptoms; formerly MUS)
- Forensic care, aftercare following detention, and criminality (indication Fivoor)
- Aggression dysregulation as sole diagnosis (indication De Waag)
You will receive feedback from us after the intake phase, during the process, and at the conclusion of the care program.
