Mission

Synthese provides high-quality, accessible, and inclusive mental health care to adults from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We create a safe and welcoming environment where both clients and staff feel respected and supported. Our culturally sensitive approach is central to everything we do, with the goal of promoting recovery, personal growth, and well-being. In addition, we provide a work environment that fosters personal development and professional growth, so that we can continue to learn and improve as a team.

Vision

Synthese strives for a future in which every adult, regardless of cultural or social background, has access to mental health care that is empathetic, equitable, and culturally sensitive. We are committed to continuously improving our care methods while keeping the unique needs of our diverse clients in mind. We aim to have a lasting impact on our clients by providing care in which everyone feels heard and understood. In addition, we want to be an organization where employees are just as important as clients, and where equality and respect are central. We believe there must be room for open dialogue and differences of opinion, with an emphasis on finding solutions together and continuing to grow as a team. Within our organization, we create a warm and safe work environment in which staff also have the space to grow and develop.

As a specialized medical treatment center, Synthese outpatient psychiatric care for anyone between the ages of 18 and 70. We focus in particular on intercultural psychiatry, so people from all over the world and from diverse sociocultural backgrounds are welcome here.

We use unique multidisciplinary methods and our commitment means we are close to our patients. Our head office is located at De la Reyweg 186 in the Zorgpoli Haaglanden health center in The Hague. This enables us to work closely with referrers, the target group, and the social map.

Thanks to our neighborhood-oriented approach, lines of communication are short and assistance is efficient and effective. Our practitioners have extensive experience and are experts in working with our target group.

The clients mainly reside in the Hague region. We are currently setting up work locations in other cities.
