About us
As a specialized medical treatment center, Synthese provides outpatient psychiatric care for anyone aged 18 and older. We focus in particular on intercultural psychiatry, so people from all over the world and from diverse sociocultural backgrounds are welcome here. Our team currently consists of more than 15 (coordinating) practitioners.
Our multidisciplinary team includes (clinical) psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists, among others. Synthese is located in the heart of Transvaal, The Hague, a neighborhood known not only for its cultural diversity but also for its social challenges. As a result, we have established strong partnerships with referring professionals, our target population, and local social services. We are located at De la Reyweg 186 in the Zorgpoli Haaglanden health center in The Hague.
Job Description
A clinical psychologist at Synthese performs various duties. These duties include conducting intakes, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, and developing and implementing treatment plans. As a psychologist, you are the primary care provider for a patient, but you are supervised in this role by a coordinating practitioner (psychiatrist, psychotherapist, mental health psychologist, or clinical psychologist).
In addition, you will receive support from the administrative office and the other psychologists.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree in (clinical) psychology;
- Proficiency in spoken and written Dutch;
- Good command of spoken Turkish;
- Good social skills and a strong sense of empathy;
- Work experience in mental health care is a plus.
